Formerly the site of a canal side wharf and lock keeper’s cottage, Wilstone Wharf has a fascinating heritage. The village dates back to medieval times and following the construction of the Aylesbury arm of the canal in the early 1800s, the wharf had various uses including a hay and straw dealership, a poultry farm and more recently, until the late 1970s, a coal merchants.
