A restoration and extension in a Bedfordshire village
Robin Trill comprised the construction of a large extension and the complete restoration of an existing timber framed property which dated back to the 16th Century.
The property, part of which was in a state of disrepair, required significant structural alterations. Great care was taken to preserve the original fabric of the dwelling and the extension was designed and constructed to complement the existing house, with particular attention to detail. This included thatching to match the original structure, incorporating leaded light windows and repeating the oak detailing to the external elevations. Internally, the property was completed to exacting standards including a bespoke hand-made kitchen, limestone flooring and feature brick fireplaces.
